Time: 10:00am
Location: Hallsboro United Methodist Church
All are invited to take part in this special time of fellowship as we hang the handmade Chrismons — white and gold Christian symbols that represent the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
About the Chrismon Tree:
The Chrismon Tree tradition began in 1957 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Danville, Virginia, and was later embraced by many United Methodist congregations. “Chrismon” comes from “Christ Monogram.” Each ornament is a symbol of Christ — such as the cross, fish, crown, or dove — and is made in white, symbolizing purity, and gold, symbolizing the majesty of our Lord.
The tree itself is evergreen, reminding us of God’s eternal love and everlasting life through Jesus Christ.
Come join in the joy of preparing our sanctuary for Advent — a time of hope, peace, joy, and love. Everyone is welcome!
